How to make Stumpy Fingers Look Longer

Introduction
I'm basically a dachshund. Or a corgi. Whichever you prefer. Or insert the name of any long-torsoed, short-limbed creature, here. So stumpy, stubby, child-like paws come with the territory. People laugh when I reach out my hand for them to shake. When I present my seemingly ten-year-old appendage to my unsuspecting manicurist, it is usually met with a widening of the eyes and a loud, piercing conversation with a nearby Vietnamese women involving much pointing and chuckling. So, you know, I have a little bit of a hand-self-esteem issue. But amidst such trauma and heartache, comes ingenuity and success...

Difficulty: Easy
Steps
1. Step One
The WORST mistake you can make when you have stumps is to have super-short nails. A heavily-bitten nail bed only makes your little paws look stumpier and smaller. And more like an adolescent.
2. Step Two
Another thing to avoid is a bright or dark nail polish. If you punctuate the tips of your fingers with a discernable color, it really shows the world your ridiculous finger-length, instead of tricking people with....
3. Step Three
Something light! A pale, whiteish, softly pink polish can almost trick your friends and family into thinking you actually have the hands of an adult!
4. Step Four
The smartest choice is always a french manicure--or 'french polish' if you're in europe. Well, not actually 'french polish' because they would probably be saying it in another language, but that's the general translation. A french poli-cure-mani-lish makes any hand look elegant, longer, matches any outfit and creates length to even the shortest of nails.
