How To Care For Your Pool Cues

Interested in learning about billiard cue care? A pool cue is your best friend when you get out there to the pool table. Without it, you have no partner! And that's why you should take good care of your pool cue -- so that your game is enhanced and can last a lifetime, too.

So what are some tips for billiard cue care? Well, you're going to need to have some quality accessories on your side if you want to properly maintain your pool cue. For example, a tip, a scuffer, and a cube are some of the products you should invest in.

But why should you care all that much? The fact of the matter is pool cues are not cheap! They cost a lot of money and are integral to helping you beat the competition. If you don't take good care of them, they're not going to last long, and they're not going to perform well. The price tag of a good pool game doesn't just stop at a pool table and set of pool cues for practice; you're going to have to get plenty of accompanying tools to go along with them.

With the right billiard cue care, you'll aim better, you'll win games, and your pool cues will be around for a long time. Not to mention, they will look shiny and new! Many pool cues are beautiful to look at for their intricate art work -- so wouldn't you want to protect that?

Keep in mind that different brands of pool cues will require different steps for billiard cue care. But there are some things you can assume.

Basically, you want a high-quality scuffer to help shape and scuff your cue. Along with this, you'll typically need a tip that's about the size of a dime or nickel to help your cue take to the chalk. (Make sure to replace the tip often!) Also, reduce pressure on your pool cue. Try to keep it up on the rack, instead of letting it lean against a wall, lay down on a surface, fall to the floor, or even get overused. All these common practices can damage your cue. This is why a protective case really comes in handy for billiard cue care.

Some more tips for billiard cue care: don't lend your pool cues out! Keep them in your sight at all times to ensure they are well cared for. But don't worry too much if your pool cue is damaged regardless of these tips; there are repair kits out there that will be of help to you, and you local billiard store may have a service department.

How to Design a Golf Course

Golf Course Design Elements

An Interview by Colin Goehring with Golf Course Designer & Architect Kevin Norby

What are the most important considerations for a golf course developer when choosing a golf course designer?

What is really important is knowledge and experience. As an owner, you want to make sure you’re working with someone who can guide you through the project approval process and provide some assurance that, when complete, the project will be successful.

In particular, it is important that the client determine who they are building the golf course for: Whether the course is designed for private, public or resort play will have a considerable bearing into the design elements. These are important factors as an owner considers what their maintenance budget will be, as well as the caliber of golfer that will play the course.

A golf course architect is also valuable to the owner in terms of providing guidance regarding maintenance facilities, maintenance equipment, sighting of the clubhouse, the amount of parking required, finding good contractors, where to look for when hiring a manager or golf professional. In many ways, we become a sounding board for the owner because we have a wide variety of experience in getting these golf course projects up and running smoothly.

That’s where having an experienced golf course designer is particularly helpful for a golf course owner; simply in having worked through a lot of the unforeseen challenges that an owner can have when setting up their golf course.

It’s also important that you find someone whom you can work well with. You’ll want to find someone who is really willing to listen to your goals and your concerns. You want to make sure you’ve got a golf course designer who isn’t just imposing their personal biases, style or budget onto your golf course. Issues like sizes of greens, species of grass, the type of sand in your bunkers are all important considerations which all affect the initial construction budget and ongoing maintenance budget.

A designer without experience may lack the necessary understanding of how all these elements can affect the final costs. The last thing you want as an owner is for your costs to skyrocket and to jeopardize the success or the project. This is where knowledge and experience will be invaluable.

Having an experienced golf course designer is essentially like having access to a Rolodex of industry professionals whom your designer has a relationship with and they can call upon for specialized knowledge when necessary.

What is your philosophy of golf course design?

What is really important for us is to have a clear understanding who will be playing the course and their level of skill. We will design a public course much different than a private course. The public and semi-private courses will typically have more play by higher handicap players. If you don’t set the course up to accommodate that, you will end up with a course that won’t be enjoyable for the customer and will suffer from slow play. People just don’t want to come back to a course that takes more than 5 hours to play. So in that case, we intentionally design this type of public course to be a little more forgiving, with wider fairways larger greens and more forgiving hazards.

Having said that, one of the real tricks to golf design is to create a great course that is fair and relatively forgiving for the beginning golfer, yet strategic enough that the better player feels challenged. We can do this by not only providing multiple tees but by manipulating the angle to the green, contouring of the green and landing areas, placement of bunkers and hazards and also by adjusting the width and angle of the fairways.

What are your considerations about how the course will look and photograph when you set up a golf course design?

Golf is a very visual game. I think that when people come out and play the game, they want to have a great experience that they will remember. Typically the holes that people will remember the most are the ones that will have some dramatic effect or elevation change. For that reason, we try to design a course so that the holes are visually exciting. As a general ruel, we try to take advantage of dramatic elevation changes by putting the tees up higher and the greens and landing areas lower.

People also want to be able to see how the hole lays out in front of them, where they are supposed to hit the ball. For this reason, I generally avoid hidden sand traps and hazards.

My favorite type of hole to design is the short par 4. These holes we design so that there are several options with varying risk / reward opportunities. We set it up so that a player who really wants to go for it from the tee may have the opportunity to drive the green or get very close to it. The more conservative option is to lay-up and have a longer approach shot. Those are really fun holes because they give a wide variety of playability options.

As it turns out, it generally ends up that the holes with some elevation change or some elaborate bunkering or water are the most photogenic.

What can you tell us about designing an “Environmentally Friendly” golf course?

It pretty difficult in this day and age to find a piece of land to design a golf course on that doesn’t have some sort of environmental constraints. It may be as simple as a few stands of trees, some wetlands, or a drainage corridor with some potential for erosion. As a rule, we are looking for ways to preserve and possibly incorporate these sensitive areas rather than to modify or eliminate them.

It seems that these days everybody likes to claim that they are environmentally friendly but there’s a right and a wrong way to go about doing that.

We’ve been fortunate to have been involved in some projects that really showcase how golf can co-exist with nature. One of the examples of that the Refuge Golf Club in Oak Grove, Minnesota. We worked with about 340 acres and about 100 acres of that was high quality wetlands, as well as a pretty severe problem with diseased oak trees. We were able to go in and route the golf course so as to preserve the wetlands. In the end, those wetlands became an important part of the golfing experience and strategy. A few months after that project was done, we were notified that the department of Natural Resources had submitted and ultimately awarded the project an award for environmental stewardship.

Currently, we’re working with a new 18 hole golf course on Lake Rathbun in south central Iowa. The project is part of a new State Park and is being administered by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. We worked with six different routing plans on that project before we came up with one that avoided all the sensitive plant and animal communities. We also made use of vegetative buffers, native prairie restoration, and a variety of water management and monitoring practices to insure that the project does not negatively impact the existing plant and animal communities. This is another great example of how a golf course can co-exist with nature.

How about considerations of fertilizers and pesticides that can affect the drainage and water systems – what do you do with that when you’re designing a course?

Frequently, we are either required or requested to bring somebody in to monitor these situations so we know that the amount of chemicals or nutrients that enter the water supply are at least no greater than they were prior to development. There are a number of studies that show that golf course developments can actually reduce these problems with run off. This can happen because golf courses make use of storm water ponds, vegetative buffers, and also because golf course superintendents are licensed applicators.

We often will bring in storm water specialists, biologists, and engineers to monitoring the sites. Often the erosion and chemical contributions from a golf course will actually be reduced to a water supply. A golf course can be actually enhance the environment and animal species that live there.

What will inevitably happen is that there will be people in the community who will be concerned and outspoken about the possible negative environmental impact of the proposed golf course. An experienced designer can assist the developer by clarifying the issues and clearly articulating the solution to those concerns.

How can people reach you for a consultation about their golf course or if they are considering hiring a golf course designer?

They can call me directly at 952-361-0644 or I can be reached at by email at golfnorby@earthlink.net.

How To Use Your Legs: Part II

In Part I we talked about the legs' purpose, function, and movement during the swing. In Part II we review how the legs work when swinging and provide two drills to help improve legwork.

Next to your hands and feet your legs are the most influential contributors to a correct swing. Using your legs properly contributes to consistency and power, and enhances ballstriking. Yet when it comes to golf instruction sessions, the legs don't get much respect. Teachers seldom talk about them when giving golf lessons. And not much is written about them in golf tips. But understanding leg movement helps cut a golf handicap down to size.

Legwork Mechanics

Good legwork is a key to hitting longer, straighter shots. But like everything else in golf, good legwork depends doing things right. Let's look at how the legs work during the golf swing.

The legs at address presage the turn and the slide. Both depend on the legs' readiness to move. Dividing balance equally between the legs helps create mobility. Flexing the knees slightly also helps mobility.

From address to the point where your club is parallel to the ground, leg movement is not significant. The left knee (right-handers) moves away from the target slightly to a point opposite the ball. As your weight shifts right, your right knee loses some, but not all, of its flexibility. From this point to the top of the slot, leg movement is more pronounced. At the top of the swing the left knee is several inches behind the ball. But your weight never shifts outside of the right knee. If it does, the swing breaks down.

Downswing to Follow-through

During the downswing the left knee leads in creating lower body support for the arms and hands. As the arms and hands reach hip high, the left knee is about where it was at address. Together, the knees shift the "platform" on which the body rests forward. The right knee moves back to where it was at address and begins to follow the left knew towards the target. The hips and feet press downward and forward. The hips, almost square, start to slide.

At impact, the legs point toward the target. The left knee straightens only after the ball is struck. The legs' slide becomes a turn, pulling the left hip off line. The slide, however, takes place beneath a steady swing center. This is known as "swinging beneath yourself." The finish is in balance again, with the club pointing to the target as your body turns to face the target.

That's a quick look at how legs work during your golf swing. Most recreational golfers I see in my golf lessons need to work on their legwork. Here are some drills to help you improve yours.

The Motion Exercise

This is considered the best drill in golf for developing good legwork and turn. If you recall we said that many weekend golfers fail to emphasize the slide portion of their swings enough. The Motion Exercise restores the balance between the turn and slide.

First, stand without a club at address. Now, instead of turning as you normally might, swing your left leg (right-handers) back past your right and then step forward with your left foot into the spot you vacated. Do the exercise without a club until it's second nature. When it is, swing a club while doing it. Then go to the range and hit balls while doing it.

Return-to-square Drill

This drill teaches the proper combination of lateral and rotary movement. Stand at address in a doorway with your clubshaft flat against the wall in front of you. Make a slow-motion swing back and down, returning the club to the same position against the wall as when you started.

If it's easy bringing the clubshaft back to its original position, you probably have the proper combination of lateral and rotary movement. If your hands and the top of the shaft get to the wall first, you're probably pulling your left hip away from the target line too quickly. If the clubhead reaches the wall first, you probably lack the proper lateral leg movement.

Don't let a lack of discussion about your legs in golf tips and golf lessons fool you. They are among the most influential contributors to a correct swing. They must work properly during the swing to generate power, achieve consistency, and help lower a golf handicap.

How to Score Great BCS Championship Game Tickets on eBay

Are you dying to get BCS Championship Game tickets for the game on January 8, 2007? eBay can be a great place to find tickets at a better price than many of the overpriced online ticket brokers. Sites such as StubHub charge a fee to both sellers and buyers, which can add up for higher-priced seats such as those for the BCS Championship Game.

Here are some tips to make your ticket purchasing experience better:

-Check the prices on similar listings. Some buyers get stuck in a bidding frenzy which can cause one listing to skyrocket while similar listings go for a more reasonable price.

-Know your seller. Check the seller's feedback score; your best bet is to go with the seller who has the best rating. See if they have sold other tickets recently and how long they have been a member.

-Know what seat you are buying. Don't blindly purchase a ticket based on the seller's description. Check the seating chart on the venue's web site and ask the seller questions. Is the view obstructed? Is it convenient to restrooms, food, and exits? Some sellers may even be able to provide a photo taken from the seat itself. Also, verify the number of tickets you are buying by looking in the "Details" section of the ad.

-Pay via PayPal, never with cash, a money order, or Western Union. PayPal's Buyer Protection will cover any losses up to $1,000 if you never receive your tickets. However, doing your research on your seller beforehand should eliminate this problem.

-Be wary of listings that tell you to "contact us directly" for better seats. There ARE legitimate sellers who do this to bypass eBay fees, but there are also scammers who do this to bypass eBay security. If you buy the tickets off eBay, you're not covered by eBay's fraud protection.

-Make sure the tickets are shipped through traceable mail with insurance. Spending an extra few dollars here can make a big difference. Ask for the packages to be shipped with a signature required at delivery so they aren't sitting in your mailbox or on your front porch.

To summarize: check similar listings for the going price, make sure you're purchasing from a reputable seller, research the exact seats you are bidding on, pay via PayPal, always make your purchase through eBay -- not through an off-the-record transaction, and be sure your tickets are sent so that they can be traced and insured. By using these tips, you should be able to find great tickets and be on your way to the BCS Championship Game in Glendale!

How To Play Defense In Paintball

Although most players would rather go in and shoot for the kill, defense is equally as essential to any game. A player must have defensive skills to survive. Of course some defensive strategies may see like second nature to you, but you must still remember the keys when you are getting shot at on the field.

Instead of taking a long glance around the field to spot an opponent or search for a flag, take very quick peeks. Taking more than one is an option. But, remember not to peek from the same exact spot twice. If your opponent spotted you during your first peek, you can bet that they will be ready for you the next time. It's better technique to peer around an obstacle rather than over it. You can duck back quicker and you are not so much of an easy target to spot.

Always keep your profile as small as possible. Keep your elbows and legs tucked close. The larger your profile, the easier target you are to hit. Stay low to the ground because it will be harder to see you.

Now this may seem like a no-brainer, but if you are being shot at and cannot get a good shot, drop back. Once you have dropped back a bit, you may be able to get a better angle on your opponent. Do not be afraid to move. Movement gives you different, possibly better angles. Playing as a squad will benefit your team. If you hear one of your teammates being surrounded by fire, move and give them cover.

Finding cover is a critical defensive strategy. Whether it is cover for you or cover for your team member, it is always important. If you or your team member needs to move, cover for each other. And, if you are being peppered with enemy fire, your fellow team member may be able to take out the shooter, maybe even more than one.

The most important defense tactic is concealment. Why? Concealment gives you the opportunity to surprise your opponent. Nothing in this game is better than having the element of surprise on your side. Be hidden well and be patient. If you are hidden near your flag, you will be in the perfect position to defend your flag. Just sit and wait for the perfect opportunity to strike and defend your flag.

Finally, a critical key in defense is to spread out your team. Do not all huddle together in one area. Spread out in several directions. But, keep at least one of your team members in your sights. You might one another for cover.

If you want to get more victories, defense is a critical element to surviving and winning a few more games, and therefore helping your team achieve more wins. Study the strategies above and you'll see results.

How To Play 50 Feet to the Pin

Old sayings die hard. That's because they often contain a kernel of truth within them. Take the old golf saying, You drive for show, but you putt for dough-an old saw I often tell students taking golf lessons for the first time. This saying highlights how critical the short game is to winning matches and lowering golf handicaps. As golf sayings go, it's a good one.

The short game, as I emphasize in my golf tips, often determines who wins a match and who loses one, as well as what your score and your golf handicap is at the end of the day. Weekend golfers with poor short games seldom win matches or have a low score or handicap. Most have a hard time breaking 100. Some have difficulty breaking 90. So don't look for them to be among the leaders in club tournaments.

From 50 Feet Away
One of the hardest parts of the short game for many weekend golfers is playing a shot from 50 feet away. While the distance to the pin is relatively short, misplaying the shot adds strokes to your score-maybe as many as two or three per hole. If you're really serious about improving your game, you need to master this shot.

The biggest challenge with this shot is being decisive. Most weekend golfers aren't sure what club to use. Others are unsure how to play the shot. You have several choices of club and a couple of different approaches to hitting the shot. But you can simplify the process if you approach it logically, as I teach students to do in my golf lessons.

A major factor in club choice is how well you play. If your short game is weak, you'll want to use a club that provides good control and is easy to hit, cutting down on your chances of mis-hitting the ball. Your club choices are a hybrid club, a fairway wood, and 8-iron, or a wedge.

You also must decide if you're going to play this shot aggressively or conservatively. If you consistently break 80, you'll use a different approach than you would if you have trouble breaking 100. Evaluate your skills honestly before deciding how to approach the shot. Below are three scenarios.

Breaking 100
If you have a hard time breaking 100, you'll probably want to take a conservative approach. The best choice for a tight fairway lie is using either a hybrid club or a fairway wood. Select whichever one feels most comfortable and use a putting stroke to hit the ball. First, picture how you want the ball to bounce and roll on the green. Keep in mind that if the first bounce is before the green, the ball will roll on the green like a putt.

Once you decide how you want the ball to bounce and roll, take a normal putting stance and choke down an inch or two on the club's shaft to provide greater control. Position the ball in the middle of your stance, with your weight evenly distributed, just they way you're taught in golf instruction sessions. From there, make a normal putting stroke, accelerating through impact. You need to make level contact with the ball, so avoid a downward stroke. Imagine the shot as a long lag putt, with just a little extra pop.

Breaking 90
If you break 90 consistently, you'll probably want to be more aggressive. Use an 8-iron with a standard chipping technique. Play the ball off your right instep (for right-handers), set most of your weight on your left foot, and use a firm wrist motion. Swing the club's grip end to about the height of your right pocket, going back and through to your left pocket.

Your set up with this shot promotes a descending blow. You need to determine where you want the ball to hit and how far you want it to roll, just like on the previous hole. Play for about one-third carry and two-thirds roll, with the first bounce just off the green. Remember the longer the roll, the easier it is to control the shot.

Breaking 80
For players who consistently break 80, taking a more aggressive approach is not out of the question. You usually have low golf handicaps and are probably more accurate with your short game. Instead of trying to make the ball bounce before the green, try flying the ball onto the green to avoid any impressions on the front of the green. Use a pitching or a sand wedge, position the ball in the middle of your stance, and set more weight on your left side than your right. Swing your arms back to the 9 o'clock position, letting your wrist hinge the club up.

Swing through to 3 o'clock, turning your body through so it faces the target. Plan to hit the green with this shot. Play for two-thirds carry and one-third roll. This approach is riskier than a chip shot, so make sure a mis-hit won't find disaster over the green. This approach works well for many veteran golfers. With practice, you'll able to get the ball within a foot or two of the hole.

Fifty feet away from the pin, as I caution players taking golf lessons, is a difficult shot for weekend golfers. Indecision is the main problem when it comes to hitting the 50-foot shot. Be decisive. Choose a club and an approach that fits your game and your golf handicap, and then practice the shot until it becomes ingrained. If you're truly serious a lowering your golf handicap, you'll learn to master this shot.

How To Make A Ghillie Suit

If you plan to make a ghillie suit, you will need supplies, time, effort, and patience. Depending on the purpose of the suit, as well as the quality and longevity you want from the finished product, you may spend many hours preparing, making, and seasoning it before you can put it to use. When a ghillie suit is made from scratch, these tasks can take as many as 100 hours to complete. For a small cost, however, you can buy most of the materials you need to put your camouflage together more quickly and easily. A third option is to buy a ghillie suit that is pre-made and ready to wear.

A ghillie suit starts with a foundation, usually a battle dress uniform (BDU) comprising pants and jacket, a flight suit, or simply an old pair of coveralls. If you improvise your own foundation suit by using such garments as old coveralls, make sure they are first washed with a detergent that has no scented chemicals added. When you need your ghillie suit to provide cover only from the waist up, leaving your legs free for movement, you can plan to make a net poncho covered with ghillie material rather than a full suit.

Dedicated people who are determined to make their own ghillie suits from scratch need to buy burlap in preparation for the most time-consuming and tedious part of the operation. This involves dyeing the burlap to various shades ranging from medium green to brown, cutting it into strips, and sewing the strips onto the foundation suit with the ends of the higher strips overlapping the attachment points of the lower strips by about half an inch to provide coverage. Alternatively, you can first sew and glue netting to the foundation suit, then attach the dyed burlap strips or jute twine to the netting. Be careful not to finish with blocks of strips in similar coloring, as this will defeat the aim of using the ghillie suit to merge into the background.

The dye colors should be chosen to blend in with the area where you will be wearing your ghillie suit. You can also increase the authentic look by taking the suit to the area and rolling it around in the local vegetation, or by adding some of the vegetation to the strips on the netting or the suit. Keep in mind, however, when making your ghillie suit, that burlap is hot and heavy. If you add too much to it, you may find it difficult to move as quickly as you may need, as well as being uncomfortable, particularly in hot weather.

You can omit the dyeing and cutting, but still have a hand in the making of your ghillie suit by buying a ghillie kit that includes all the materials you need, as well as assembly instructions. These can be ordered in the custom color combination you want or bought in available patterns, and can take from five to 10 hours to complete by hand. If time is a factor, a pre-made ghillie suit costs more than a kit, but saves time and effort.

When making your own ghillie suit, you need to remember that Hessian and burlap are highly inflammable and take appropriate precautions to treat it. This need should not apply to the ghillie suits and kits available for purchase, because they are usually treated with fire retardants before you buy them or are made of fire resistant materials. They are also often made of materials that are lighter and cooler than burlap, making them more comfortable, if less traditional, than the type of ghillie suit you would make yourself.

How to Hit the Ball well from Uneven Lies

I know some of you are laughing under your breath wondering what I am doing writing a tip on UNEVEN LIES. What in the world could I possible know about uneven lies living in Scottsdale, Arizona? Well, it is the Grand Canyon State for starters, but yes you're right, we do not face as many uneven lies as someone from North Carolina, for example. However, there are plenty of times during the course of a round when we are faced with a golf ball that might be on a side hill lie.

Before I begin, I am going to first give you the definition of the four uneven lies in golf.

Uphill Lie - The easiest of the four uneven lies. The ball is level with your feet but the slope is up-hill, we refer to this as an uphill lie. Downhill Lie - A ball that is level to your feet but the slope is down hill, probably the second most difficult shot in golf. Ball Below Feet - The most difficult shot in golf is when the ball is below your feet Ball Above Feet - The fourth uneven lie is when the ball is above your feet.

Don't get confused between an uphill lie, and when the ball is simply above your feet. These are 2 different lies, and should be addressed separately. Also, don't get confused with the downhill lie, and the ball being below your feet. Again, these are 2 different lies.

Let's start with the easiest shot in golf, the up-hill lie. If you struggle with this shot, you probably swing the golf club to vertical into the ground and hit a fat shot. Before you prepare for an uphill lie, you need to think of a few important items first.

1. Make sure you take a less lofted club. When you have an uphill lie, it will make the ball go HIGHER and SHORTER.

2. The ball will have a tendency to hook to the left, so aim a little to the right.

3. To avoid hitting the shot fat, check your shoulder alignment and make sure they are parallel to the ground you are standing on. If you are on an uphill lie, your back shoulder should be a little lower that your leading shoulder.

4. The ball should be positioned according to what club you are using, as though you were on a level lie. (A bit forward for longer clubs.)

5. You want to make sure you follow through HIGH after impact.

Now we can move on to one of the hardest shots in golf, the down hill lie. If you have a tendency to struggle with this shot, the miss hit is usually a top. Follow the steps below and you will see a huge change in your down hill shots.

1. Because the ball will fly lower, you can take a more lofted club to help the ball go a little higher.

2. The ball will have a tendency to curve to the right, aim a little to the left.

3. If you have your shoulders at address tilted level to the down slope of your lie, this will encourage the club to swing DOWN into the ball (correct) and not up in the down swing. Thus, you will hit the bottom of the ball and not the top.

4. Play the ball in your stance according to the club you are using (again, a little forward for a longer club).

5. You want to make sure you follow through LOW to the ground after impact.

Now we are back to an easy shot, the ball above our feet. If you follow the steps below, you will not hit the ground behind the ball anymore, and the ball above your feet will become your absolute favorite shot in golf

1. If you struggle with hitting the ball fat in these shots, make sure you are standing taller than your normal stance.

2. The ball will have a tendency to fly to the left, aim a little farther to the right.

3. DO NOT BEND YOUR KNEES

4. This is the main point, the golf club wants to swing more AROUND your body, let it...DO NOT TRY TO MAKE A NORMAL SWING...let the club swing around you.

THE HARDEST SHOT IN GOLF. The dreaded, (I can't believe this is happening to me) BALL BELOW YOUR FEET golf shot. You have come to the right place, below is the answer.

1. When the ball is below your feet, you will have a tendency to top it to the right, whiff the ball, or shank it.

2. The address is the most important part of this shot. Bend your knees and bend WAY over at address. You ALMOST can not bend TOO much.

3. The ball will have a tendency to go to the right, aim farther left.

4. The golf club wants to swing up and down, NOT around. LET IT...It will feel like a lob swing, this is correct. IF you make your normal swing, you will whiff the ball completely.

How to Get More Consistency with your Driver

Read this sentence then stop for 10 seconds and ask yourself what you think the three most important elements to the game of golf are. Four, three, two, one...

Ok, now I will list mine in the order of importance.

Driving the golf ball in play. Putting the golf ball with consistent speed control (distance). Pitching the golf ball with loft. Today we are going to concentrate on what I consider the MOST important aspect to the game of golf, DRIVING THE GOLF BALL IN PLAY. This aspect of the game is the number one confidence builder in our sport. As you probably know and have experienced, your score adds up quickly if hit your tee shots out of play.

Buckle up - Because if you read this special report every time before you play a round of golf this summer, your friends will think they are playing with Fred Funk come September. Fred Funk has led the P.G.A. Tour in driving accuracies for the past four years. He averages hitting 76% of the fairways every time he plays 18 holes of golf. If you are going to change the way you drive the golf ball you will need to implement the following four fundamentals.

THE PICTURE: Approach every tee shot with a clear picture in your mind of what you want the golf ball to look like in flight PROPER DRIVER: Choose the proper driver for your swing. CORRECT TEE HEIGHT: For your golf swing. CORRECT SWING PLANE: Swing the driver on the correct swing plane for your swing. THE PICTURE: If you can see it, you can have it. Before you take your driver, or any club for that matter, out of your golf bag, you better start seeing what you want the golf ball to look like during its journey down the fairway. Of the millions of words my mother (the first woman to teach at a golf school in the United States) passed on to me, the one phrase that has stayed with me all of these years is THE PICTURE. You must have a mental picture of how you want the ball to fly through the air and where you want it to wind up. When you have a driver in your hands, you have to pick out an exact area you want the ball to land on. IF YOU DON'T SEE THE PICTURE, YOU ARE HEADED FOR TROUBLE.

Important Tip: During the course of a round of golf, you can find yourself driving the ball well, but all of the sudden you are faced with a difficult driving hole. Shortly after I turned professional, I played a practice round with Tommy Bolt the 1958 U.S. Open Champion. We came to great par four, 435 yards long, water down the right side of the fairway from the tee to the green, out of bounds markers down the entire left side of the fairway from the tee to the green. After I teed my golf ball up I turned to Tommy and said, "What do you do here with O.B. left and water right?" Tommy looked me straight in the eye and said "Son, if you see the water and the O.B. markers, you better go find another line of work."

That stick with me to this day, and I wanted to pass it on to you. Don't worry about the challenges, just think about what you want the ball to do. I have benefited immensely during my career, and I want you to benefit from this as well.

PROPER EQUIPMENT: Now that you can see the picture, let's see if you brought the correct brush to paint with. If you are still trying to buy 20 more yards every time you walk into a golf shop. It is time to stop-NOW! If you own a driver that is metal, has a graphite shaft, and the grip is new then you own what it takes to send the golf ball straight down the fairway.

Let's back up a foot or two. The loft on the golf club will play a major role in how accurate you are. If you are struggling with your driver you might consider buying a driver with at least 10-12 degrees of loft. The less loft a driver has the more you are apt to slice and hook the ball. If you are driving the ball well you can buy a driver with less loft.

An important side note: If you are driving the golf ball short, low and to the right the shaft might be too stiff. If you are driving the golf ball too high and to the left the shaft might be too weak.

Another item to consider if you have small hands, have the club repair shop regrip all of your grips with either a junior grip or a small grip. If your hands are large, have the shop regrip you clubs with oversize grips.

Bottom Line – worry about getting the ball in the fairway first, and then focus on distance generation. Chances are, you own the equipment right now, that will give you the fairway shots you're looking for. Remember – It's the swing, not the equipment. The equipment helps once you have a good swing, but you'll never FIX your swing with an equipment upgrade.

CORRECT TEE HEIGHT: The tee height does not seem like such a big deal, but it plays a huge roll in whether or not you drive the golf ball consistently down the fairway. Something so simple can often be the biggest challenge.

The two major mistakes are teeing the golf ball too low or teeing the golf ball too high. You may have heard that golf is a game of opposites. This is a perfect example. Let me explain why. If you are constantly swinging your driver too vertical into the ground in the downswing, you probably tee the golf ball to low. Most golfers with a vertical driver swing fear swinging underneath the golf ball so they tee the ball low in hopes of catching it square. For those of you with this challenge, the next time you are on the golf course, tee the golf ball up a little higher and sit back a little bit more on your heels and keep your weight there in the downswing. After your shot has landed, look down to see if your tee is still in the ground. If you are always conscience of leaving the tee in the ground, you will not pop your tee shots up anymore.

If you are topping your tee shots to the right you might have the ball teed too high because you are trying to hit the ball on the upswing. The next time you go out to play, tee the ball down a little. After the golf ball has landed, make sure your weight is on your left foot and meaning you have transferred your weight correctly.

CORRECT SWING PLANE: With this final tip I feel confident you will be on your way to driving the golf ball straighter and with more consistency. The golf club in your bag that swings the most vertical, (up and down) is your sand wedge. The golf club that swings the most horizontal (around you-baseball swing) is your driver. The mistake I have seen most amateur golfers make is that they swing their driver like their sand wedge and they swing their sand wedge like their driver.

A couple of things to remember when you are addressing the driver:

Chin up Turn your right shoulder in the back swing level Swing the golf club around you/not up and down Leave the tee in the ground after you hit the ball When you are ready to begin your backswing, keep your swing thoughts to a minimum. Just think about swinging more horizontal.

At the beginning of this special report I promised you would drive the ball more with more confidence, accuracy and more consistent if you read this article every time before you tee it up this summer. This stuff seems simple, but give it a try and send me an email letting me know the results. You'll get some really good results.

This is only a starting point that will provide a great basis for more consistent driving. At the end of this month, we're going to get back to you with some in depth information on how to get more accuracy and consistency with your driver. Stay tuned…you'll love the results you get this season.

How to Get Autographs from Pro Football Players

When the New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was eight years old, he found himself in the San Francisco Giants' locker room where he asked Chili Davis, a star for the team at the time, for an autograph.

Davis refused, but said, "Maybe later kid, maybe if you come by after the game." So the young Brady stuck around, and after the game he re-approached his favorite player, only to be turned away again by Davis saying, "No, I'm not signing autographs after the game."

The effect stuck with Brady, both in terms of the disappointment it brought him and in Brady's future outlook on autographs when he found himself in a similar situation.

"I certainly was hurt," Brady told Tuff Stuff magazine, "but at the same time, I was in the guy's clubhouse and now I look at it from a different perspective than I did when I was that age. At the time, though, it seemed like such a little request."

One would expect walking into the Patriot's locker room and asking for autographs might be a fast way to get your butt kicked, but there are ways you can position yourself in the autograph-giver's radar without becoming a nuisance.

First, you must have something to sign. Having a playing sign your arm may seem like a fun idea at the time--and they may well oblige-but it's largely a pointless act since you're going to eventually wash it off. A good rule of thumb is if you're not going straight to the tattoo parlor to have a tattoo artist trace the autograph, don't bother with body signing. Always carry a good quality pen. What's the point in handing the player something to sign if you don't have something to sign it with?

Next, know who you're talking to. If you can call the player by name, or say something that shows you have taken an interest in him, he's going to look at you more sympathetically than someone else. The next important thing is location, location, location. It is far easier to get a player to sign something from front row seats than from seats in the second balcony.

If you get a good seat and get to the game early, you can also talk to the players as they walk by. If you can get one in conversation for a while, you might end up getting a few other players to stop by as well. Sometimes a player will start signing autographs and a crowd will quickly form, which is another reason to get to the game early. Fighting a crowd for signatures--or worse--being in your seat as dozens of fans start crowding around you is likely to get you more than annoyed.

If you can learn where the players come into and out of the stadium, that's another great place to find them ready to sign, pose for photos, shake hands, etc. They're far more likely to stick around for a while when they're not in a hurry.

If you're just looking for a signed photo, you can write the player in care of the team's address. A better way is to also include a self-addressed stamped envelope and an unsigned 8x10 photo to the football player's personal address.

How to get a better Golf Game this year

Well, it's that time of year and Golf is upon us once again. For many individuals this is a long awaited time to finally get back onto the Golf course and tear up the green once again. Some of you may have attended Golf School over the off-season to improve your game, and that's all fine and good. But here I would like to recommend a few golf-specific workout suggestions that will improve your golf game.

First you need to look at where you generate your swing power. Most people feel it's the arms and shoulders, but it's really from your core area. The deep muscles from the navel to the neck, which help drive the golf ball. I recommend doing exercises that challenge that area with use crunches off a stability ball, rotational exercises both lying down and standing up, and exercises that make you use the whole body as a unit, like planks and knee drives and we can't forget some type of back extension. This will ensure your core area is being challenged and will dramatically increase golf club power.

Next come the rotator cuff. The four deep muscles in the shoulder are involved heavily in golf. These muscles are structural muscles, meaning they support the bigger more dominant muscles in the shoulder to help with all movement patterns. Weak rotator cuff equals weak golf game, especially with the speed of the club. How many of you work the rotator cuff with pendulum exercises, external rotation exercises, and towel stretches? This one golf tip alone will give you a big advantage next time you are out on the golf course.

And finally you need to look at the flexibility aspect when it comes to hitting the golf ball. In the game of golf, so many people understand technique, timing etc. but because of muscle imbalances and inflexibility they cannot maximize their golf game. Golf driving ranges are a good place to practice your hits and your flexibility, but should be done on a daily basis for noticeable progress. Areas that are usually tight and hinder a golfer are neck, outer hips, lower back (weak and tight), chest, and mid-back. Keep in mind, if you were keep these areas limber and strong the chances of you doing better on the golf course rise dramatically. I cannot emphasize enough, however, that flexibility should be done daily and strength training 2-3x's per week. Many golfers aren't consistent in both areas, but if they were they would find just how better the golf ball will carry for them, and decrease risk of injury and fatigue.

In conclusion there are other muscle groups and exercises that need to be addressed, but these are the primary golf areas I would tell golfers to start working on. Golf schools are golf driving ranges are fantastic, but without having the foundation of the areas above, one is missing out on his or her true golf potential.

How To Cut Weight For Wrestling

Let’s take a look at the typical year for a wrestler. During the off-season, the wrestler is in the gym lifting weights. The workouts are intense. The wrestler eats normally, sustaining muscle, and adding strength to their body. The wrestler might compete occasionally in a tournament or go to a wrestling camp. The wrestler is learning more moves, and skills, along with improved strength. All is good. Things look great for the upcoming season!

Then the season arrives. The wrestler decides to cut 15-20 lbs. to move to a lower weight class, where they will be big, strong, and ready for any competition. The wrestler eats very little, runs a lot (even with plastic suits on), spits, uses saunas, etc. to make weight. The wrestler makes weight. The wrestler has a good season, making weight each week, and binging after each match.

BUT THE WRESTLER COMES UP SHORT OF THEIR POTENTIAL!

The wrestler doesn’t understand. He practices hard, really hard! He dropped two weight classes, and makes weight each week. He drills after practice, and works as hard or harder than anyone else in the mat room. He doesn’t strength train during the season because he practices so much, and doesn’t have the time or energy to work out. Besides, all that hard work in the weight room during the off-season has made him really strong!

Or did it?

If you are cutting weight for wrestling, and want to be the BEST your potential will allow, make sure you:

1.Keep Up Your Strength Training

During the off-season you want to work to gain as much strength as possible. I recommend training 3 times each week in the weight room, working the muscles that are used for wrestling. Be consistent and document your progress. Always strive to add a little more weight or repetitions. During the wrestling season, YOU HAVE TO STRENGTH TRAIN! You will not keep strength gained during the off-season if you neglect training during the season. If you are cutting weight, it is even more important to keep up your strength training. If you are cutting weight, practicing, and wrestling in dual meets and tournaments, your body is using its own muscle for food. You can prevent some of this by getting in a full body strength training workout every 4-5 days.

2.Eat More Frequently

Don’t starve your body to make weight! If you starve your body, you are slowing your metabolism down. Metabolism is the rate at which your body burns calories. A calorie is a unit of energy. By starving, you will cause a rebound effect, and have even more trouble making weight next season. The answer lies in trying to lose fat, not muscle and water. You do this by eating more frequently. Four smaller meals each day will allow you to lose body fat while sparing muscle, give you energy to wrestle hard, and be strong the entire match.

3.Give Your Body The Correct Amount of Calories

To find out how many calories your body needs to keep up muscle while cutting weight, take your current body weight, and multiply times 13. This is the minimum number of calories you need to consume each day.

4.Eat a 40-30-30 Ratio

Now that you know how many calories you need to cut weight and still keep your muscle and strength that you’ve built up, you need to eat the proper ratio of protein, carbohydrates and fats. 40% of your calories should come from lean proteins (egg whites, turkey, lean beef, whey protein powder, skinless chicken). 30% of your daily calories should come from complex carbohydrates (multi grain bread, baked potato, sweet potato, brown rice, oatmeal), and 30% of your calories should come from unsaturated fats (olive oil, nuts). Usually you don’t have to figure in the fats other than a tiny bit of oil on a salad, because the meats that you consume will have a small percentage of fat that will suffice for the day.

5.Don’t Jog excessively If Your Goal Is To Make Weight

Nothing is more grueling than a tough high school or college wrestling practice. You shouldn’t get in the habit of jogging for miles, and miles each week in order to lose weight. First of all, it will not give you the endurance for wrestling like good old-fashioned live wrestling in practice will. If you try to lose weight by jogging, you will start eating the muscle off of your body. Aerobic activity is NOT an efficient means of losing fat. A controlled meal plan is the answer.

6.Don’t Dehydrate

In order to wrestle at your best, and have your body working efficiently, you need to have all of the body systems working optimally. Each of your body systems requires water. If you have to lose a couple of pounds to make weight after you have followed the above tips, then you will restrict your water intake. Restricting water intake is not the same as not drinking water at all though. You still need to give yourself 3-4 ounces of water every 3 hours on days that you are trying to make weight. Remember, this is to keep up your strength. You need to plan well in order to do this right. Don’t weight until two days before, and get drastic in your weight loss system.

7.Stay Away From Sugar

Wrestlers who cut weight by eating very little and doing excessive jogging tend to get sugar cravings. Sugar has no place in your wresting meal plan. The only time my clients consume sugar is immediately following an intense strength training session. If you are within 3 or 4 lbs. of your weight class, you might want to consume 60 grams or so of high glycemic carbohydrates (sugar) on the form of grape juice or apple juice within 20 minutes of your strength training session. This replenishes the body’s glycogen stores and helps with recuperation. In general, stay away from sugars. They have no long-term positive effects on your energy. They are much

How To Choose The Right Fishing Boat

Do you love to go fishing? Is it one of the most enjoyable ways you like to spend your time? If so, then you need the right fishing boat to help you get the most out of your fishing experiences. There are a lot of different types of fishing boats available that offer you different features depending on the type of fishing that you enjoy. Therefore, the first decisions in how to choose the right fishing boat will be what type of fishing you plan on doing. For an example of why this is important, consider that a bass boat would not work well for walleye fishing because it is not equipped to handle deep water and big waves.

You need to decide what type of angler you are as well. In other words, do you plan on using the boat purely for fishing only or would you like to go for a spin across the water occasionally. Perhaps maybe even throw in a few skiing trips once in awhile. If you only want the boat for fishing then buy one designed especially for this. If you like other water activities then look for a boat with multiply features. Many of the newer designs such as the â€Å“sportfish” model are designed for excellent fishing and lots of other activities as well.

The type of fishing you plan on taking part in also goes hand in hand with the area in which you plan on fishing. For instance, will you be fishing in fresh water, salt water or both? If fishing in saltwater do you plan on going deep sea fishing or staying near the waters edge? These are important questions that will help you choose the right boat for your fishing needs.

Another area to consider is whether or not you will only be fishing during the day or if you enjoy fishing during the night as well. If you do night fishing then you need to choose a boat that can provide you with some protection and more comfort than some fishing boats have. Consider how many people will be accompanying you in your fishing boat. This is a big factor in choosing the right fishing boat. You will need something that is big enough for everyone to fit comfortably and have enough room to maneuver the fishing rods with ease.

You even have to decide if you prefer a fiberglass boat or an aluminum fishing boat. Each one has its own advantages and disadvantages depending on the type of fishing you plan on doing. The bottom line is, before you go out to look for that perfect fishing boat, take time to consideration the things mentioned above and it will help you in deciding which one would be the best boat to fulfill your needs.

How to Choose a Pool Cue Case

If you have your own cue but enjoy playing billiards at a pool hall, you should be using a pool cue case. These cases aren't just for professionals, either. A quality pool case will protect your cues whether you're a casual pool player or someone that participates in tournaments.

Pool cue cases come in a variety of sizes and styles, holding as few as one butt and one shaft or as many as four butts and eight shafts. Players that carry a break cue, an extra shaft or other specialty cues and shafts will likely need a case that holds more than just a standard two-piece pool cue. When it comes to choosing a case, you need to know the difference between soft, hard and box cases. Here's a quick breakdown of the different case types:

Hard Cases

Hard cases are by far the most popular pool cue cases. This style of case will feature high impact tubes that hold your butt and shaft in place while you're on the move. These cases help protect against dents as well as warping. These cases vary in size, with the smallest being a one butt/one shaft case, meaning they allow you to carry one cue butt and one cue shaft in the case. Cases can go as high as three butt/seven shaft but are most commonly found in the two butt/two shaft and two butt/four shaft variety.

Soft Cases

Soft cases are good for starter cues or for short term storage. Although they do not feature the tubes that you find in hard cases, soft cases do keep each shaft and butt in separate compartments to protect from denting. Soft cases do not feature as many exterior pockets as hard cases, so you won't have as much room for your accessories. Because of their limited nature you won't be paying as much for a soft case as you would for a hard case. Soft cases typically come in the one butt/one shaft variety, but you can get soft cases as large as two butt/four shaft.

Box Cases

The third choice for cue cases is the box case. Box cases have a "classic" look, which is one of the primary reasons that players buy box cases. Many box cases have a briefcase style, complete with latch style fasteners. Some of the nicer box cases can also feature combination locks for additional security. From a protection standpoint, box cases will provide a similar level of security as compared to a hard case.

Ultimately, the type of pool cue case you choose should be based on your needs as a pool player. With all the cases on the market, there is bound to be a pool cue case that will be perfect for you and your pool cue.

How to Bet on Baseball

Baseball season is just around the corner. Finally! No sport offers more consistency or more opportunities to make money than baseball does. Baseball is potentially so profitable that, legend has it, sportsbooks just hope to break even over the course of the season. Despite the comparative ease of handicapping baseball, though, many people who regularly play football or basketball haven't crossed over to baseball yet. The biggest reason for that is probably that differences between betting on baseball and the other sports can be intimidating if you aren't familiar with them. If you're one of those people who isn't sure how to bet on baseball, then here's a crash course to get you ready for the season.

Money lines

Though money lines are available in almost all sports, they are the most common method of betting on baseball. The good news, then, is that you don't have to deal with point spreads in baseball, and you don't have to worry about the most frustrating thing there is - your team winning but not covering. If your team wins, you win. The only question is how much you get.

When you bet on the favorite it is called laying the odds. If you lay -150, that means that you would have to bet $150 to win $100. Traditionally, baseball has had what is called 20-cent lines. That means that if the favorite was -150, the underdog would be +130, or it would pay $130 on a $100 bet. The difference between the two prices is the commission the bookmaker earns – if the favorite wins, they would collect $100 and pay out $100, but if the underdog wins they would collect $150 and pay out $130, with a $20 profit. It's now very common to find dime lines (with a 10 cent difference) and even smaller spreads are commonly available online.

Though good teams will generally have lower odds than bad teams, the odds any one team faces varies widely based on the starting pitcher. Given that the rest of the lineup is relatively stable, it is the pitcher that makes the biggest impact on a game. If you only want to pay attention to one thing in your handicapping, focus on comparing the starting pitchers.

Because of the importance of pitchers, you have the ability to bet the money line in different ways to protect your investment. You can bet on listed pitchers, meaning that your bet only has action if both listed pitchers start. You can choose to specify only the starting pitcher for one team, so that it doesn't matter who starts for the opponents as long as the listed pitcher starts for your team, or vice versa. Finally, you can choose an action bet, in which case your bet has action regardless of who pitches.

Totals

Totals work just as they do in other sports. The only significant difference is that action depends upon both listing pitchers actually starting the game. If one or both listed starting pitchers miss the start then there is no action on the total and your bet will be returned. Though this can be frustrating at times, a change in pitchers can significantly change the expected number of runs, so the refund is often a welcome result.

Run lines

A run line is the closest thing you can get to a standard point spread in baseball. It is fixed at a standard 1.5 points, so a favorite has to win the game by at least two runs for the bet to pay off, and the underdog can lose by one and still be a winning bet. There is a money line attached to the run line as well, but the price will obviously always be more attractive for the favorite than it is for the straight money line. If a favorite was -170, for example, then the run line may be +110 at -1.5. On the other side, the underdog that may have been +150 in the money line could be -130 at +1.5. This can be a reasonable option in cases where you would like a better price on a heavy, high scoring favorite, or if you are willing to trade some potential return on an underdog for more of a cushion.

Finding value

The single most important thing to be aware of when you are betting on baseball is the amount of risk you are assuming when you make a bet. When you bet on football or basketball you are typically dealing with standard -110 odds, so you have to bet $110 to win $100. That means that you can easily understand the amount of risk and the percentage of bets you must win to make a profit. When you are playing the money line it's not quite that simple. If you were to win 57 percent of your bets while playing the point spread in the NFL then you would make a solid profit. If you were to pick winners at the same rate while laying -150 in MLB then you would go broke. You would have to win at least 60 percent of your bets at -150 just to break even. How to choose golf clubs that has grip suit you the most.

The most important factor that can affect to the quality of your play and affect to the distance of your shot and the accuracy is the size of grip. If you are a golfer who are looking for the set of golf club that has grip that most suit to your play, this article may be useful to you.

Nowadays, golf clubs that being sold in many of golf equipment shops, particularly in Asian country, usually has smaller grip than ones that being sold in western or Europe . This is just because they are designed to fit the hand size of Asian people who usually has smaller hand size than European people.
However, the golf clubs that has larger grip mostly available for professionals. This type of golf clubs also usually has harder iron stalk.

Why is that?

The answer is likely relate to the principle of physics, that is, small-sized hand grip will help golfer to grab the golf club by using the left hand firmly. As a result of this principle, golfer will be able to swing at the highest speed, which means more distance of the ball as well as be able to open during follow through and release a lot easier than using clubs that has larger hand grip.

However, large-sized hand grip bring the advantage of control, which I have always mentioned to my students that the good golfer must practice to do the shot that has both power and accuracy. Therefore, you can see that the size of hand grip really matter to the quality of your swing and overall performance and this is the fact that can't be ignored.

Please do not judge the quality of golf clubs o its brand or self conclude that this brand drive far more than any brands. So now I will suggest the best way to try and see whether hand grips suit to you, which , mean it will give the equilibrium between the power with maximum accuracy or generally called Distance VS. Control.

Try to grab the grip by using left hand, slice hand up and down to find the position that your hand fit the grip the most (if you are a right handed person) not too tight, (which means this grip is too big for you) or too loose (which means this grip is too small for you) and if the fit position not lower than 1 inch from the club's base, that is, you find the club that suit to you.

How to maintain body balance when playing golf?

There is a story about a golfer who can not walk normally just after lose the balance during gave a shot at sand bunker and got an ankle injury.
After he had X-ray diagnostic, he was told that his ankle bone is broken, and this requires 6 weeks to recover. The situation like this can happen to many of amateur golfer, but the majority of them are not often the worse case.

You may have seen many of golfers in your group losing their body balance after take a shot, some of them scream or exclaim out loud. The cause of this is due to they can not maintain their body balance in most case.

So how to keep and maintain the balance during approach, swing or even taking a shot?
You, as a golfer, can practice to keep and maintain balance effectively if understand the basic principle about these balancing theories

1. Rules of the centre of gravity
According to the principle, the centre of gravity will change if position of the body is changed (movement), for example if we lift an arm up overhead, the centre of gravity will also be lifted up. If we lift the left arm, the centre of gravity will be changed to the left and if lift an arm up and point to the front, the centre of gravity will be changed to front also. So when you are approaching, try to bend down you knees a bit in order to the balance and stability.
2. Size of basement
The wider basement, the more stable. Therefore, for approaching to tee off, you should keep stretching out your legs a bit wider in order to maintain the balance. However, unlike tee off approach. You can stand normally for shifting and putting because these approaches require less movement.
3. Relation between the centre of gravity and basement
The more of the centre of gravity close to the middle point of the basement, the less chance to lose the balance. When taking back swing, do not transfer the weight of the body to the right side by moving the whole body, instead, try to turn only shoulder and hip. By doing this way, the centre of gravity will also be move to the back side but less movements needed, as a result, we can maintain the balance and we will try to keep the centre of gravity still be on the basement as much as we can.
4. Your weight
This theory is all about the total mass of the body that affect to the ability to maintain the balance. Person who has more weight and active muscles will be able to maintain the balance better than those who has lighter weight.
5. Momentum and External circumstances
If you are playing in bad weather, especially in strong wind from the front tacking against yourself. You may adjust your approaching by a bit lean forward to maintain the balance
6. Friction
Friction is the most important factor that affect to the balance of the body during movement. Generally, the less friction, the less ability to control the balance. From this theory, please make sure that your golf shoes are in good condition because good shoes will increase friction with the green’s surface so it will help you to control the balance during take a shot.

How to Perfect Your Golf Swing and Golf Like a Pro

Consistent attention to stance, angle, and balance will effect the perfect golf swing, with a little practice. Well actually, the perfect golf swing will take a lot of practice. But when the time comes to play in a competitive tournament, friendly match, or business foursome, the perfect golf swing will be the perfect business and leisure asset.

Accuracy is the buzzword when working on your perfect golf swing, since the swing in and of itself is not the end result. The flight of the ball to the green or thereabouts should stem from the development of the perfect golf swing. A perfect golf swing should depend on physical conditioning or height, or a special club or distance to the tee.

The perfect golf swing should occur by habit, after hands-on training to correct bad habits and sloppiness. A good golfer should be able to correct themselves. The perfect golf swing should be able to encompass variables of distance, wind, turf, angle to the tee and length of the fairway in all wind conditions.

Golfers who experiment with their tee shots often discover that an automatic generation of a swing can be a great starting point for a great swing. But a perfect golf swing comes about after enough positive experience with a certain rhythm that occurs again and again, until the body can tell better than the mind how to do it. Then a perfect golf swing can be employed as a function of the golf game anywhere from tee to green to rough to fairway.

Many players will grind away at the perfect swing, using manuals, videotapes, books and even coaches to get the best whack at the ball. Consistent accuracy is more than mere mechanics. The perfect golf swing tempers a determined player’s concentration with effort that limits exertion.

The perfect golf swing has a methodology that is different for each player. Golf takes repetition and concentration, especially when problem areas need extra attention. The intense skill and methodologies necessary for the perfect golf swing can be discarded and focused upon depending on their effectiveness.

Little by little, the perfect golf swing can adjust a player’s handicap and show him or her how to map the perfect stroke for every part of the course.
